Characteristics

The spotted dove is also called as the “spotted-necked dove”. Its main feature is the black and white dots on its neck like a pearl necklace. The bird makes “coo, coo, coo” calls.
Habits: The spotted dove mostly inhabits plains and low-altitude mountains and feeds on seeds, fruits, and insects.
Resident/Common; Body length: 29 cm
Birdwatching period: year round
